MIAMI (AP) — Dwyane Wade says he understands why people are “scared” about the potential that the NBA season gets totally washed out because of the ongoing lockout.
Wade and Heat teammates LeBron James and Chris Bosh were among the headliners Saturday night in what they called the South Florida All-Star Classic.
Wade says he believes the union and the league are united in wanting the league “to be as good as it can. We just have two different ways of getting there.”
Saturday marked 100 days since the lockout was announced. NBA Commissioner David Stern has said the league will cancel the first two weeks of the regular season if the sides can’t reach a labor agreement by Monday, and it now appears the sides won’t even talk before then.
