Letter: Good citizens help those in need

I’ve never ridden on a C-Tran bus. I’m 81 years old. I drive a 1986 Honda with more than 256,000 miles on it. When I drive past bus stops on thoroughfares, I see more people waiting for the bus than I saw a few years ago. Most, I presume, would be driving if that were an option for them. Because they need bus service to get to work, college, shopping or other appointments, I’ll be voting for the Nov. 8 C-Tran ballot measure, just as I vote for school levies even though I’m a great-grandpa with no kids in school right now. Such decisions help me to feel like a good citizen of my community.
