SEATTLE (AP) — Occupy Seattle demonstrators remain in the downtown Westlake Park Wednesday while they negotiate with Mayor Mike McGinn who wants them to move to City Hall Plaza.

The city says camping at Westlake Park is illegal but campers could be accommodated at City Hall.

The demonstrators have sent the mayor a list of demands. They want approval for large tents to use as a kitchen, infirmary, storage area and information center. They want written approval of long-term occupancy, access to City Hall restrooms and parking for supply vehicles.

The demonstration in its second week at Westlake Park is part of the Occupy Wall Street demonstration against corporate power.

Seattle police arrested two-dozen people last week who refused to remove their tents.
