Free presentation focuses on heartburn relief

A local physician will offer a free presentation, “Heartburn: Finding Relief,” next month.

Dr. Son T. Do from Advanced Gastroenterology in Vancouver will give the presentation from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 3 at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center, 2211 N.E. 139th St.

The presentation is free but advanced registration is required. Call 487-3500 or visit http://www.legacyhealth.org/classes to register.

Attendees will learn about the causes and symptoms of heartburn and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) as well as treatment options. GERD may lead to a pre-cancerous condition known as Barrett’s esophagus. Do will also discuss the treatment and management of Barrett’s esophagus.

Do is board certified by both the American Board of Gastroenterology and the American Board of Internal Medicine.
