PESHAWAR, Pakistan (AP) — Pakistani intelligence officials say an American missile strike has killed three people in a militant hotspot close to the Afghan border.
The strike Thursday hit close to Miran Shah in the North Waziristan region.
The officials did not say who had been killed. They did not give their own names because they were not allowed to speak to the media on the record.
The United States regularly unleashes unmanned drone-fired missiles against militants in northwestern Pakistan believed to be behind attacks in Afghanistan and plots around the world.
Pakistan publicly protests the strikes, but it is believed to support them.
