Letter: Re-elect Root, Nickels to B.G. board

The Columbian
Published: October 14, 2011, 5:00pm

Battle Ground Education Association has formally endorsed Ken Root and Mavis Nickels as candidates for the two open school board positions. Both candidates are former educators who have also had experience running a business. It takes experience in both arenas to effectively manage tight budgets and education reform.

Both Root and Nickels are committed to education and fiscal responsibility. They are willing participants in the ongoing conversation about improved instruction and accountability, and would involve the community in decision making and be fiscally responsible with taxpayer’s money from both the state and local levels. Please keep Root and Nickels as advocates for your children and our schools.
