HILLSBORO, Ore. (AP) — A 36-year-old Rock Creek woman was sentenced Tuesday in Hillsboro to 21 months in prison for a fatal collision.
Pamela Lynne Gibson was convicted last week of criminally negligent homicide for running a red light in June 2010 and killing 80-year-old Betty Jean Joseph at a Highway 26 off ramp near Beaverton.
The Oregonian reports (http://bit.ly/qLxFfU) Gibson apologized in court to the Joseph family. As the sentencing concluded families shook hands, hugged and exchanged words of remorse.
Gibson was led away in handcuffs. Her lawyer said she recently found out she was pregnant.
