A look at Evergreen Public Schools on a day-to-day basis will be available through four community tours this year.

People can register now for the first tour on Oct. 26, which will visit Mountain View High School, Wy’east Middle School, Riverview Elementary School and one program at the Clark County Skills Center.

The tour begins at 8 a.m. at the Clark County Skills Center, 12200 N.E. 28th St. District staff members will join the tour to answer questions. Participants will tour classrooms and hear from staff and students at each location.

The five-hour tours (all on Wednesdays) end at the Skills Center, with lunch prepared by students.

The tour is free and open to all community members. Participants are asked to register ahead of time at http://www.evergreenps.org or at 360-604-4088. The district will offer four tours — two in English, one in Russian and one in Spanish.

The 2011-2012 schedule:

• Oct. 26: Mountain View High, Wy’east Middle School, Riverview Elementary (English).

• Nov. 30: Heritage High, Covington Middle School, Orchards Elementary (Spanish).

• Jan. 25: Union High, Shahala Middle School, Mill Plain Elementary (English).

• March 21: Evergreen High, Pacific Middle School, Harmony Elementary (Russian).
