The Vancouver Watersheds Alliance and city of Vancouver are looking for volunteers to help plant trees along the Burnt Bridge Creek Greenway this Saturday as part of “Make a Difference Day.”

Volunteers will gather at 8:30 a.m. Saturday in Leverich Park, at the corner of East 39th Street and Northeast Leverich Parkway, for a breakfast and orientation. They’ll go from there and plant about 4,300 trees and bushes along the greenway, according to the watersheds alliance.

Participants are encouraged to come dressed for whatever the weather brings. Work gloves will be provided, and the city’s Greenway Team will provide about 100 shovels.

Groups or individuals can register for the event at www.vancouverwatersheds.org, or call the watersheds alliance at 360-852-9189 for more information.
