Hockinson — The fourth Sharing is Caring “stuff” exchange will be next month at the Hockinson Apostolic Lutheran Church.

Donna Aho’ is the mastermind behind Sharing is Caring, a free used-stuff exchange in the basement of the church first held in December 2009.

Working as a cleaning lady, Aho knew there were plenty of barely used items lingering in many people’s homes that could be put to good use by others. The periodic free exchange grew from there.

The next Sharing is Caring will be held 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nov. 10 and 11 and 9 a.m. to noon Nov. 12 at the at the Hockinson Apostolic Lutheran Church, 16108 N.E. 192nd Ave., off 164th Street.

Aho said she’s in need of a small army of volunteers to make the event go smoothly.

Donations of clothing, shoes, household items, home decorations, books, toys and other useful items can be donated at the church Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Sharing is Caring does not sell anything. All items are free.

“In these tough economic times we all need to look out for and help one another,” Aho said.
