NEW YORK (AP) — Drew Smith rushed for 149 yards and a touchdown as Albany (N.Y.) beat Wagner 24-0 in the snow on Saturday for its sixth straight win.

The Great Danes (6-2, 5-0 Northeast Conference) have won eight conference games in a row and 14 of the past 15 in the series. Smith started things off quickly for the Great Danes with a 1-yard touchdown run with 11:46 remaining in the first quarter. Dillon Romain added two rushing touchdowns for Albany.

Wagner (1-7, 1-4) has lost seven games in a row and was shut out for the first time since losing to Duquesne on Nov. 8, 2008.

Dominique Williams rushed for 145 yards for the Seahawks. It was Williams’ fifth game past the 100-yard mark this season. Wagner had more first downs than Albany (14 to nine) and held an 11-minute advantage in time of possession, but was hurt by three lost fumbles.
