Sam Houston State shuts down Lamar 66-0

HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP) — Richard Sincere made a 40-yard run for a touchdown and caught a 77-yard pass for another to help Sam Houston State steamroll Lamar 66-0 on Saturday.

Sincere was one of four players to run for a combined seven touchdowns for the Bearkats (8-0, 5-0 Southland). Tim Flanders led with three, Ryan Wilson ran for two and Keyshawn Hill one. Hill led the game in rushing with 135 yards while Sincere ran for 102. Wilson added a short touchdown catch in the first quarter.

The Bearkats finished with 559 yards on offense and held the Cardinals (3-5, 1-3) to just 98.

Brian Bell completed 5 of 8 passes for 160 yards and two touchdowns for Sam Houston State. Doug Prewitt completed 5 of 15 for 46 yards for Lamar.

Craig Alaniz added a field goal for the Bearkats.
