LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (AP) — Former world champion Erin Hamlin is among eight sliders on USA Luge’s roster to start the World Cup season.

Hamlin crashed in a team selection race Sunday, but was prequalified for the World Cup team. X-rays on her left arm were negative. She will be joined on the women’s circuit by Ashley Walden to start the season.

Trent Matheson and Isaac Underwood were tabbed for the men’s World Cup squad. Olympian Chris Mazdzer won both team selection races this weekend, but is staying home through the first portion of the season and testing equipment.

USA Luge’s doubles teams to start the season are Christian Niccum and Jayson Terdiman, along with Matt Mortensen and Preston Griffall.

The World Cup schedule starts Nov. 26 in Igls, Austria.
