MIAMI (AP) — Florida Marlins right fielder Mike Stanton left Saturday night’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies with an apparent leg injury suffered when he grounded out to end the fifth inning.

Stanton, who hit his 32nd home run in the second inning, tapped a slow roller to second baseman Chase Utley, who threw Stanton out at first.

The Marlins slugger ran over the base hard, then tumbled to the ground. He was stretched out on field briefly before walking off unaided.

Stanton began the day tied with Atlanta’s Dan Uggla, Los Angeles’ Matt Kemp and Milwaukee’s Prince Fielder for second in the league in home runs. St. Louis’ Albert Pujols leads the National League with 34 homers.
