TACOMA, Wash. (AP) — Most people are familiar with the board game Battleship where players make moves to sink an opponent’s ships.
A club called Northwest Naval Combat takes that to another level.
Members build scale-model, remote-control ships of World War I and World War II vessels that are equipped to shoot BBs. The goal is to sink a unarmed cargo ship.
The News Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/nfqN71 ) the hobbyists met Monday for a battle at the Swan Creen Park pond in Tacoma.
