4 Oregon residents injured in plane crash at Wyo.

SARATOGA, Wyo. (AP) -- Two couples from Oregon are hospitalized after their single-engine plane crashed at the Saratoga Airport in south-central Wyoming.

Carbon County Sheriff Jerry Colson says the crash occurred Monday and involved a Cessna Turbo that was making a stop in Saratoga on the way to Eugene, Ore.

Colson tells the Rawlins Daily Times (http://bit.ly/pjgEd7) that the plane had just aborted a landing attempt when the pilot said the engine quit. The plane went past the end of the runway, crashed through a fence, hit a county road and flipped onto its roof.

He identified the pilot as 67-year-old Ronney Bowker, of Eugene.

Colson identified the injured passengers as 66-year-old Laraine Bowker, 75-year-old Jerry Thenell and 71-year-old Mary Thenell, all of Eugene.

The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.
