Robber strikes at U.S. Bank in Hazel Dell

Clark County sheriff’s deputies on Thursday afternoon were seeking a man who robbed the U.S. Bank branch at 6829 N.E. Highway 99 in Hazel Dell.

The call came in about 5:40 p.m., and 911 dispatchers radioed that the robber had not displayed a weapon or implied he had one.

The man left carrying a bag and, once outside, left in an unknown direction according to preliminary information.

He was described as a white man about 5 feet 7 inches tall wearing a black baseball cap, dark pants and a dark shirt.

The bag he carried had strings and small white letters on it, according to emergency radio traffic monitored at The Columbian. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
