Jets happy with win, but have lots of work to do

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — Rex Ryan watched the game film of the New York Jets’ comeback win over the Dallas Cowboys and saw some good things on the screen from his resilient team.

“And then there were some,” he says Monday, “where it’s like, ‘Whew!”

Yes, the Jets engineered a spirited rally from 14 points down in the fourth quarter for a 27-24 victory Sunday, but Ryan and his players know there’s plenty of work to do.

Ryan will give game balls to players on offense and special teams, but none to his defense. That’s a rarity for a coach who prides himself on stopping offenses. Ryan says his defensive players will be angry, but, “that’s good.” He thinks that will motivate the defense to play a better all-around game against Jacksonville next Sunday.
