LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — No. 11 Nebraska meets Washington on Saturday for the third time in 364 days.
The teams split their two games last season, with the Cornhuskers (2-0) winning 56-21 in Seattle and Washington (2-0) avenging the loss with a 19-7 victory in the Holiday Bowl.
The Huskers’ defense will be keying on Chris Polk, who ran for 177 yards in the bowl game. He’s averaging 116 yards through two games.
Nebraska has had trouble stopping the run. Fresno State’s Robbie Rouse rushed for 169 yards in the Huskers’ win last week.
