TULSA, Okla. (AP) — New Tulsa coach Bill Blankenship believes No. 8 Oklahoma State may possess the best offensive talent his team has faced this season. And that’s after facing Landry Jones, All-American receiver Ryan Broyles and top-ranked Oklahoma in the opener.

The Cowboys (2-0) amassed 722 yards of total offense and 65 points against Tulsa last year despite letting up in the second half.

Brandon Weeden threw for 409 yards and six touchdowns, three of them to All-American receiver Justin Blackmon, before leaving after just one series in the second half. The Cowboys scored on their first 10 possessions and won 65-28.

Blankenship says Tulsa (1-1) will need points and quality possessions from its offense to help the defense shoulder the load Saturday night.

Through two games, Oklahoma State leads the nation with 1,260 yards of total offense.
