KAUNAS, Lithuania (AP) — Juan Carlos Navarro scored 35 points and Spain beat Macedonia 92-80 on Friday to reach the final of the European basketball championship and qualify for next year’s London Olympics.
Pau Gasol had 22 points and 17 rebounds for the defending champions. Spain will play Russia or France in Sunday’s final.
Navarro scored 19 points in the third quarter to break open a close game. Marc Gasol added 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Bo McCalebb scored 25 points for Macedonia.
