YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) — Interior Secretary Ken Salazar completed a two-day visit to Washington on Sunday with stops at Yakima and the Tri-Cities.
At Yakima, Salazar and other officials discussed the importance of partnerships in managing the water supply for irrigation and stream flows for fish. At Hanford, the Interior secretary visited the B Reactor, which he has recommended as part of a national historical park related to the Manhattan Project.
On Saturday, Salazar was at the ceremony celebrating the removal of two dams on the Elwha River on the Olympic Peninsula.
