SAO PAULO (AP) — Ronaldinho says he wants to play for Brazil at the 2012 Olympics to try to win one of the few titles he doesn’t have in his career.

The 31-year-old playmaker has regained his spot in the national team after returning to Brazilian soccer at the beginning of the year. He wants to be in the squad in London.

Ronaldinho says his “dream is to win the gold medal in the Olympics,” a competition he has already played twice without success.

The Olympic tournament is played with under-23 squads but each team can use up to three players older than 23. Ronaldinho, a two-time FIFA player of the year, was one of those picks for the 2008 Beijing Games. Brazil lost to Argentina in the semifinals and earned a bronze medal.
