LONDON (AP) — Fabrice Muamba has been discharged from a hospital less than a month after the Bolton midfielder collapsed during a game from cardiac arrest.

Muamba says he is “looking forward to continuing my recovery and spending precious time with my family.”

He had been in the London Chest Hospital since collapsing on March 17. His heart stopped beating on its own for 78 minutes while doctors worked to resuscitate him.

In a joint statement from Bolton and the hospital, Bolton manager Owen Coyle added that “it is important that Fabrice and his family are now given time and space to be together.”
