OHSU offers free head, neck cancer screenings

The Oregon Health & Science University Knight Cancer Institute is offering free screenings for cancers that develop on the skin (face and scalp) and in the mouth, throat and neck.

The free event is from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 27 at OHSU Center for Health and Healing lobby, 3303 S.W. Bond Ave., in Portland. No appointments are necessary. Screenings are first-come, first-served.

Health care providers will also provide information about symptoms and risk factors. Participants will also receive a personalized risk assessment for skin cancer on the face and scalp, thyroid cancer and cancers of the mouth, throat and neck.
