JOINT BASE LEWIS-MCCHORD, Wash. (AP) — Army Secretary John McHugh plans to announce a force realignment-basing decision at a news conference Thursday at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.
The News Tribune reports (http://is.gd/wcXtyW ) defense experts have recently suggested Lewis-McChord is large enough to have an Army division to help manage its infantry brigades. An infantry division is usually overseen by a two-star general who reports to a three-star at the corps level.
