Country Critters visit Latino fair (con conejos)

Glenwood — The weather was beautiful, and so were the bunnies, when the Country Critters 4-H Club attended the Latino Community Resource Fair on April 15 at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Northeast 119th Street. There were arts and crafts, ethnic food and dance, face painting, games and more. Lizi Jesser, 15, a freshman at Hudson’s Bay High School who’s now taking her first year of Spanish, led the rabbit (“conejo”)group with three of her own — especially Holland lop (that’s a breed from the Netherlands) Rusty, who really soaked up the love from waves of adoring children.
