MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Minnesota Timberwolves coach Rick Adelman says he plans to have significant input in the team’s offseason personnel plans this summer.

Adelman spoke to reporters on Thursday night before the team played its final game of the season against the Denver Nuggets. He says that when he signed on as coach last fall, he did so with the understanding he would have a major say in trades and free agency.

The Wolves had lost 12 of their previous 13 games heading into the finale, and Adelman has made it clear he hasn’t been happy with how some of his players have responded to a rash of injuries. Adelman says the Wolves need to be aggressive this summer in adding some veterans to a young roster.
