KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The Kansas City Chiefs have picked Oklahoma offensive tackle Donald Stephenson with their third-round selection, going with an offensive lineman for the second straight round.

The Chiefs picked Illinois’ Jeff Allen in the second round Friday night.

The 6-foot-6, 312-pound Stephenson was lightly recruited out of high school, but emerged as a solid lineman with the Sooners. He started 10 games at left tackle as a junior and every game his senior season, when he was among the best tackles in the Big 12.

Kansas City was fairly solid along the offensive line even before spending two of its first three picks on additional depth. The Chiefs picked Memphis defensive tackle Dontari Poe with their first-round pick Thursday night.
