Letter: Elect Townsend as judge

The Columbian
Published: August 2, 2012, 5:00pm

I support Josephine Townsend for Superior Court Judge, Department 8 because she has the strong work ethic we need on the bench. She is fair-minded and extremely hard-working. She developed the city’s first diversion program for first-time offenders in Clark County, a program that is still in effect today. She comes from a working-class background. She is a veteran of foreign wars, having served in Bosnia in 1996. She is a retired state trooper with a vast amount of experience in dealing with people in crisis. I believe the citizens of Clark County deserve a true public servant on the bench.
