WIMBLEDON, England (AP) — Venus and Serena Williams clinched at least a silver medal in Olympic doubles Saturday when they beat Maria Kirilenko and Nadia Petrova of Russia 7-5, 6-4 in the semifinals.

Venus seeks a record fourth tennis gold medal, while Serena is trying to win her second gold this weekend. She beat Maria Sharapova in the final of singles earlier in the day.

The Williamses never faced a break point but needed six match points, all in the final game, to close out their latest win. They embraced at the net and Venus hollered, “Wooo!”

The sisters, who won the gold in 2000 and 2008, have yet to lose a set through four rounds. Their opponents Sunday will be Andrea Hlavackova and Lucie Hradecka of the Czech Republic.
