FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) — TCU is finally where it always wanted to be.

After a conference-hopping journey that included two BCS games without automatic access and winning titles in three different leagues, TCU is getting ready for its first Big 12 season. The Horned Frogs were left out of the Big 12 after the Southwest Conference broke up in the mid-1990s.

TCU has won 50 of its last 55 games, including 24 conference games in a row while winning three consecutive Mountain West titles. The Frogs were 13-0 and Rose Bowl champions two seasons ago.

The Frogs open the season Sept. 8 at home against Grambling State. Their first Big 12 game is a week later at Kansas.
