Math teachers honored for reaching out to blind students

Central Park — Teachers Robin Lowell and Sherry Hahn of the Washington State School for the Blind won first place in the Cutting Edge Use of Technology for Learning category in Microsoft’s Partners in Learning Forum. The forum honors innovative educators who creatively and effectively use technology to help students. Lowell and Hahn were recognized for the way they put desktop sharing, video conferencing and other technology to work teaching math to blind and visually impaired students who are scattered all over the state.
