NEW YORK (AP) — Richard Krajicek, the 1996 Wimbledon champion, is one of six members of the ATP’s new competition committee, which will recommend possible changes to men’s professional tennis.

The committee will advise the ATP Board of Directors, the men’s tour said Friday.

ATP Executive Chairman Brad Drewett said he wants to “explore new and creative ideas for enhancing the competition and presentation of the sport.”

Drewett appointed Krajicek, tournament director of an event in the Netherlands, and ATP Executive Vice President Gayle David Bradshaw to the committee.

The panel’s other members are Sergio Palmieri and Graham Pearce, chosen by the ATP Tournament Council; and Mood Media Corporation’s Lorne Abony and former ATP employee Weller Evans, selected by the ATP Player Council.
