ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — Texas right-hander Yu Darvish is expected to make his scheduled start Tuesday after missing his previous outing with right quadriceps tightness.

Rangers manager Ron Washington said before Sunday’s game against Minnesota that Darvish would take his turn in the rotation.

Darvish, who is scheduled to start Tuesday against Tampa Bay, threw 30 pitches in a bullpen session and went through fielding drills Saturday.

The Rangers have also reinstated right-hander Koji Uehara (strained right lat) from the 15-day disabled list. To make room for Uehara, the club has optioned right-hander Tanner Scheppers to Triple-A Round Rock.
