Letter: Greed drives Romney, Ryan

The Columbian
Published: August 26, 2012, 5:00pm

I said, “Where’s the taxes! Not the taxi!”

We have all heard the saying “taxation without representation,” but in the case of Mitt Romney, it is “representation without taxation.”

How someone can run for president of the United States who puts his money into other countries to avoid taxes here is beyond me.

If Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan become president and vice president respectively, they would use our country like a lighter; after the fluid is gone, they would just throw it away. They have nothing to lose because they are rich, and they couldn’t care less about how much you suffer. Also, if their money were put into U.S. banks, it would generate revenue for the U.S. economy, not Swiss banks or the Cayman Islands’. It all is from pure greed and a slap in the face to the U.S.A.
