Columbia Basin handed the Clark College men’s basketball its first loss, 72-68 on Saturday at Pasco.
Clark coach Alex Kirk said the Penguins were settling for too many 3-pointers in the first half.
“We took 14 in the first half,” Kirk said. “We had a size advantage that we were not able to capitalize on down around the rim like we should have.”
Clark got off to a solid start, leading 19-8.
“But we kept settling on 3-pointers and the shots stopped falling. We could never come back from that,” Kirk said.
