Branquinho wins steer wrestling in round 4 at NFR

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Luke Branquinho moved into second in the world standings for steer wrestling when he finished first in round four of the National Finals Rodeo on Sunday.

Branquinho, the defending world champion, posted a time of 3.3 seconds to move up three spots in the standings with $113,614. Two-time world champion Dean Gorsuch of Gering, Neb., who has earned $116,067, remained in the top spot.

In bareback riding, Kaycee Feild of Payson, Utah, increased his world standings lead over three-time world champion Will Lowe of Canyon, Texas, by winning round four with an 87 on Kattle Katie.

In saddle bronc riding, Jesse Wright of Milford, Utah, who tied for first with twin brother Jake in round three, took first in round four with a 90 on Wild Bill.
