Point guard Sean Price played the entire 40 minutes with 21 points, five assists and just two turnovers as the Clark College men’s basketball team pulled off a gritty 84-72 win over Mount Hood Community College on Saturday, Dec. 8.

The Penguins were playing with just six healthy players.

“I told the guys at halftime that their backs were against the wall, so there was nowhere to go but forward,” Clark coach Alex Kirk said. “They gutted out a nice win against a quality opponent.”

Mount Hood trailed 69-67 with less than two minutes to go but Phillip Hertz hit back-to-back 3- pointers to extend Clark’s lead out to 75-67 with inside of a minute to play.

Clark will take most of the week off for finals before playing next weekend at the Crossover Tournament in Roseburg, Ore.
