Santa paid an early visit to Vancouver’s Marshall and Firstenburg community centers in the form of a $12,000 gift from fitness equipment maker Nautilus. The gift, facilitated by the nonprofit Parks Foundation of Vancouver and Clark County, will cover maintenance of the Nautilus Fitness Center housed by each facility.

This is welcome news for Vancouver-Clark Parks and Recreation, which has suffered deep budget cuts over the past two years.

“Our global headquarters is located in Vancouver, and we are proud to be a part of this community,” said Nautilus CEO Bruce Cazenave. “Our partnership with the Parks Foundation began in 2006, and while we now focus on home fitness products, we remain committed to our community and the centers that so proudly display our company name.”
