'Stars' patrols arrest 23 impaired drivers

During the Washington State Patrol's 22nd annual Night of 1,000 Stars on Friday night, police from area agencies arrested 23 impaired drivers. Of those arrested Friday night, 17 were processed in the State Patrol's Mobile Impaired Driver Unit, a 38-foot converted Winnebago with three DataMaster alcohol breath testers, computers for typing reports and two small holding cells. The DUI emphasis night went from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m. after a dinner and awards ceremony for Clark County law enforcement agencies.
