Free Christmas brunch offered at Chronis’ Restaurant

The tradition continues. On Christmas Day, local restaurateur Chuck Chronis and his pal Superior Court Judge Rich Melnick will host a free meal. Everyone is invited. No payment will be accepted.
The tradition got started a few years ago when Chronis, who has offered a free Thanksgiving meal for decades, realized the need was great on Christmas Day, too.
The home-cooked meal will be served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 25 at Chronis’ Restaurant and Lounge, 819 Main Street, in downtown Vancouver.
“Imagine the day when nobody will need us,” Melnick said.
