Boston University defeats Binghamton 68-53

VESTAL, N.Y. (AP) — Matt Griffin and Darryl Partin scored 13 points each to lead Boston University over Binghamton 68-53 on Saturday night, giving the Bearcats their 24th straight loss.

Griffin was 4 of 6 from 3-point range, making all but three of the Terriers’ (12-13, 8-3 America East Conference) long-distance shots. Boston made 43.8 percent from 3-point land (7 of 16), and shot 50 percent from the field (23 of 46).

Nine of the 12 Terriers who saw action scored, as they topped Binghamton in bench points 25-16.

Boston led the entire way.

Boston force 17 turnovers, leading to 16 points, in its sixth straight win over Binghamton (0-23, 0-11). The victory snapped a two-game losing skid for the Terriers.

Binghamton, Division I’s lone winless team, was led by Ben Dickinson and Robert Mansell with 13 points each.

The Bearcats shot 44 percent from the field (22 of 50).
