Eugene OR police shoot man in gunfire exchange

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) -- Eugene police say an armed man who fired at a police officer has been shot.
Spokeswoman Melinda McLaughlin says the wounded man was taken to a hospital. She had no immediate information on his condition.
The spokeswoman said officers had responded Monday afternoon to a call about an armed, menacing person reported to have fled through a manufactured home park.
Additional details were not immediately available.
