YAKIMA, Wash. (AP) — More than 3,000 soldiers from Joint Base Lewis-McChord are spending most of February at the Yakima Training Center, practicing mortar and artillery firing.
The Army invited some reporters Wednesday to see the big guns that have been causing the rumbling in the Selah area.
The Yakima Herald-Republic reports (http://is.gd/hdYZAF ) the brigade will head to the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, Calif., in June to be certified for combat deployment.
