GRAND COULEE, Wash. (AP) — The Grant County sheriff’s office says a body uncovered by melting snow in Grand Coulee may be a woman who disappeared last month.

Spokesman Kyle Foreman says the body was found Sunday afternoon by a neighbor near the intersection of Highway 174 and Highway 155.

Foreman says there’s no sign of a crime and officials believe they know who the woman is, but the identification will be made later by the county coroner.

A Grand Coulee woman, 43-year-old Jamie Breckenridge, was last seen the night of Jan. 22 at a service station on Highway 174.

Foreman says snow that covered the area has been melting.
