BOSTON (AP) — Ferg Myrick finished with 15 points to lead New Hampshire and the Wildcats beat Boston University 56-54 Wednesday night despite not scoring in the game’s final 2 12 minutes.

Brian Benson got a tip-in to put the Wildcats up 56-50 with 2:43 to play, but that would be the final bucket for New Hampshire (11-14, 6-8 America East Conference). The Terriers pulled back within two points, 56-54, on a pair of Darryl Partin foul shots and a D.J. Irving layup with 44 seconds left.

But the New Hampshire defense forced two missed jumpers by Boston in the game’s final minute, sealing it.

Alvin Abreu and Chandler Rhoads scored 10 points each for New Hampshire, which is on a season-best three-game winning stretch.

Partin finished with 20 points to pace the Terriers (14-14, 10-4), while Dom Morris had 17 points and 12 rebounds. BU had a three-game winning streak snapped.
