Clark County’s historical Heritage Farm is getting ready to open its fourth season of community gardening.

There are 84 plots at the site. They are 20 feet by 20 feet, pesticide free and available for $60 per plot. The farm is located in Hazel Dell at 1919 N.E. 78th Street.

“Gardeners of all levels of ability are encouraged to participate. We offer free classes from the Master Gardener Foundation,” Sunrise O’Mahoney, community garden manager, said. “Community gardens are an excellent way to learn about growing healthy, fresh food.”

To enter, submit your name, email address and/or phone number to O’Mahoney at 360-619-8315 or sunrise.omahoney@clark.wa.gov.

Entry deadline is 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 29. A random drawing for plots will be Thursday, March 1.

Some scholarships are available. Some plots are ADA accessible. To learn more, visit http://clark.wa.gov/farm/gardens.html.
