LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) — C.J. McCollum hit the game-winning 3-pointer with 1 second left as Lehigh snapped Bucknell’s 12-game winning streak with a 56-53 victory Thursday night.

McCollum finished with 15 points for the Mountain Hawks, who overcame poor shooting and a seven-point second-half deficit to hand the Bison their first Patriot League loss this season. A win by Bucknell (20-7, 10-1), which defeated Lehigh 68-61 on Jan. 18, would have clinched the No. 1 seed in the league tournament.

After five ties in the second half, the Bison built a 51-44 lead with 6:14 remaining. The Mountain Hawks (20-7, 8-3) tied it at 53 with 1:04 left, then Bucknell’s Mike Muscala missed a 3-pointer and a layup before McCollum’s game-winner.

Joe Willman had 19 points and 11 rebounds and Muscala had 10 points and 12 boards for the Bison, who outshot Lehigh 36.8 percent (21 of 57) to 33.3 percent (17 of 51).
