Several local state legislators will host a trio of town hall meetings Saturday.

State Sen. Joseph Zarelli, R-Ridgefield, will host the town halls with state rep-resentatives Ed Orcutt, R-Kalama, and Ann Rivers, R-La Center. The first town hall for the 18th District lawmakers takes place 9 to 10 a.m. at the Woodland Church of the Nazarene, 2000 Lewis River Road. Their next town hall takes place noon to 1 p.m. at Battle Ground City Hall, 109 SW First St. Their last town hall for the day takes place 2 to 3 p.m. at the Camas Public Library, 625 NE Fourth Ave.

During the town hall meetings, lawmakers will give a progress report on the 2012 Legislature, field questions from the public and hear from citizens about issues of concern.

On the same day, Sen. Don Benton and Rep. Paul Harris, two Republicans from the 17th District, will host a town hall meeting at 10 a.m. in the auditorium of Vancouver’s Mountain View High School, 1500 SE Blairmont Drive.

“We are over halfway through the session, and I want to have a better understanding of the priorities of my constituency,” Harris said in a news release. “We still have a lot of work to do in our final few weeks.”

The 60-day legislative session kicked off on Jan. 9 and is scheduled to adjourn on March 8.
